Appearances Marvel Cinematic Universe Black WidowĪt a young age, Yelena Belova was a candidate for the Red Room, a Russian shadow program that trained elite assassins known as Black Widows run by General Dreykov. When Yelena finds herself caught in a world with dangerous threats behind every corner, her only chance at survival may be through a tenuous truce with the person she blames for a lifetime of torment-Natasha Romanoff. Fans may expect more robust action from a mega-franchise like Marvel - but if kids are OK with some similarity in battle rounds, and if parents aren't put off by the game involving weapons and fighting, Marvel Realm of Champions could provide a pleasant playing experience that won't require a huge time investment on an ongoing basis to conquer level after level. Background Official Description A a product of the Red Room’s ruthless training program, has a secret history with the Black Widow that she is determined to address. As a result, action sequences can feel a bit repetitive - and with limited moves in battles and rounds moving fast, there aren't many opportunities to create or test out a strategy. There's also a wait if you're captured or defeated in a round and have to regenerate to rejoin the skirmish. With the battle raging on around you, there isn't much to do, aside from hiding behind something until the clock runs out. Players can earn additional items as they play, but for some time after they start, they'll be limited to just a few moves in battles, and there are long pauses between using those abilities as they wait for their energy to refill. Your opponents are circled in red, though, which makes identifying them easier. Some of the visuals can be hard to make out at times if you're playing on a smaller phone screen, and with multiple players shuffling around the same area, in the midst of a battle, figuring out what's happening can be hard as well. Arenas aren't expansive - players often are trying to work their way around or through a center area of a hallway - but the graphics are detailed and visually impressive. There's a constant tally of their current power reserves during battles, so there's little confusion about what they can do at any point. Marvel Realm of Champions provides lots of organized info, so players can easily see what rank they're working toward. This brawler provides a fun time for comic fans, if they're willing to deal with fast-paced yet repetitive battles in limited arenas.
